Garlic Bread (Pan Con Ajo)
This is my favourite at my local Tapas restaurant I am so pleased that
this one turned out just like theirs (in fact better if I’m honest).
The quantities of ingredients for the garlic butter and olive oil are
what I used for one small baguette, you can double up if you want depending on
how many you are making.
Don’t forget that the oven timings will vary depending on what bread
you are using and how much, so keep checking it while its cooking.
For 1 baguette you will need;
Bread (ciabatta, baguette or other of your choice)
For the garlic butter;
2 cloves - Garlic (crushed)
100 Gm - Butter
1 teaspoon – Dried Parsley
For the seasoned olive oil;
50Ml - Olive Oil
½ teaspoon – dried oregano
Gently melt the butter in a pan then pour into a bowl and add
the crushed garlic, dried parsley and whisk.
Cover and put in the fridge for 20
minutes to harden a little.
Heat the olive oil in a pan then add the
dried oregano and simmer for 2 minutes.
Pre heat your oven to 250c.
Cut your bread into slices, spread each
one with the garlic butter and put in the oven for 20 minutes.
Arrange the bread on a dish pour over
some of the warm oil and serve.
